Add 1/2 teaspoon of Royal Kombu Flakes to legumes (lentils, beans) to speed up the cooking time. Royal kombu can also be used to make a delicious Breton dashi broth.

Royal Kombu (Saccharina latissima) is a member of the kelp family of seaweeds. It grows wild along the coast and is now cultivated by sea farmers. Kombu Royal contains iodine, which is why we recommend rehydrating it in warm water, then discarding the soaking water before using it in salads.
